NHFPC holds 2015 national health and family planning work conference

Li stressed that the NHFPC will take efforts to fulfill tasks including further deepening the healthcare reform; pushing forward the equalization of basic public health service and the prevention of serious diseases; steadily carrying out the two-child policy; strengthening the formulation of a strategic plan; advancing administration by law; improving service; and upgrading the management for health and family planning.
Li claimed that the health and family planning commissions at all levels should steadily push forward healthcare reform. Li also said scientific research and strategic plans should be based on the actual conditions; cooperation should be carried out with different departments to boost the development of the health and family planning sector; reform of the family planning service management should be advanced; public health should be further improved; healthcare quality and service level should be further upgraded; TCM should be further upgraded; and anti-corruption in health and family planning commissions should be strengthened.
Representatives from the central government; people in charge of health and family planning commissions of provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities, and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps; heads of the family planning leading group of People's Liberation Army and People's Armed Police; and relevant people from the NHFPC and State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine attended the conference.
