Free clinic for rural women
There was free clinic for women for International Women’s Day in the Huairou suburbs of Beijing, on March 8, with a team of female doctors from Beijing Hospital, Peking Union Medical College Hospital, Medical Science Academy’s Cancer Hospital, and Fuwai Hospital.

The National Health and Family Planning Commission (NHFPC) arranged the visit to give free clinical advice and treatments to more than 300 people living in the area.


In explaining on the activity, Cui Li, an NHFPC vice-minister, remarked, “one’s health is the essence of personal development and family happiness,” then went on to emphasize the importance of medical institutes at all levels improving health services with free clinics for rural people, reforming healthcare more, and providing new rural cooperative medical programs.
