Li Bin meets with Swedish health official
“China is willing to further cooperate with Sweden in health, population aging and general practitioners training,” said Li Bin, minister of the National Health and Family Planning Commission (NHFPC) at a meeting with Gabriel Wikstrom, Swedish Public health and sports minister on April 20.

Li praised the two countries’ cooperation in health. “China and Sweden cooperated in contagious diseases prevention, control and antibiotic resistance.” She continued that although the two counties have different conditions, they both face similar challenges in population aging and chronic diseases, which offered a basis for cooperation.

Li’s counterpart Gabriel Wikstrom said that he is willing to push forward the two countries’ cooperation in antibiotic resistance, infectious and chronic disease control since the two sides have much in common.
After the meeting, both sides signed a cooperation plan for 2015-2018.
