Chinese nurses take home the Florence Nightingale Award
When the International Red Cross announced the winners of its 2015 Florence Nightingale Award recently, there were five Chinese nurses among the 36 nurses on the list, chosen from 18 countries.
The Chinese winners includes Du Liqun, from Nanning Fourth People's Hospital, Song Jing, from People’s Hospital from Zhecheng, Henan province, Wang Xinhua, from 302 Military Hospital of China, Xing Caixia, from Inner Mongolia People’s Hospital and Zhao Qinghua, from the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University.
The IRC established the Florence Nightingale Award as the highest international honor for the field of nursing. It is given every two years and China has had 68 winners since 1983.
