2015 World Population Day promoted in Wuhan
The 26th World Population Day fell on July 11, 2015. To promote the special day the National Health and Family Planning Commission (NHFPC) and Hubei provincial people’s government jointly held an exhibition in Wuhan. Cui Li, vice-minister of the NHFPC attended the activity and delivered a speech.

The theme of this year’s World Population Day is disadvantaged groups in emergencies. Cui said that China will pay more attention to women and children, improving their health conditions and safeguarding their rights.

The organizers of the activity distributed sponsorship funds to talented girls from impoverished families and held free clinics for local residents.

Officials from Hubei’s health and family planning commission, provincial departments and Wuhan municipal departments also took part in the activity.
