Li Bin visits Central China for healthcare reforms
Minister of the National Health and Family Planning Commission, Li Bin, says that Hebei province needs make better use of its location and other advantages and at the same time introduce Beijing’s medical resources to Hebei for better healthcare services.
Li made the remark during a visit to get a look at Hebei’s healthcare reforms, on July 14, where she added, “Hebei’s hospitals need to improve their services to bring more benefits to local people.”
She went on to say that the hospitals should halt the practice of tying revenues and staff incomes to drug prescriptions and improving the basic medical insurance, and ensure drug supplies to cut drug costs as much as possible. She also asked hospitals to set up a better system of medical care as soon as possible to improve medical resource distribution and ensure that they cover as many people as possible.
Accompanying Li on her inspection were members of the Commission’s General Office, its Healthcare Reform Dept and Medical Administration Bureau.
