Inter-ministry conference system to work on disease prevention
The State Council has approved setting up a joint inter-ministry conference system to help guide the work on prevention of major diseases.
The conference system, to be led by the State Council, will help coordinate the prevention and treatment work of major diseases nationwide, carry out related policies and tackle problems during the implementation process, the State Council said in a reply to the National Health and Family Planning Commission on Nov 27.
Vice-Premier Liu Yandong will be in charge of convening the organization, and the other members will be officials from 30 commissions and departments under the State Council.
Member departments should attend the meetings as required, exchange information and coordinate with each other, and the general office is required to report the work to member departments in the system in a timely manner.
