May 15 was International Family Day, and this year’s theme was “families, healthy lives and sustainable futures”.

The National Health and Family Planning Commission (NHFPC) held a promotion activity in Beijing on May 14. Cui Li, vice-minister of the NHFPC, attended the activity and delivered a speech. 

According to Cui, healthy families are the basis of the country’s “Healthy China” strategy. The NHFPC will organize a series of activities to improve health conditions in each family.
