Wang Pei’an visits Georgia, Ukraine and Macedonia
Wang Pei'an, vice-minister of the National Health and Family Planning Commission (NHFPC), visited Georgia, Ukraine and Macedonia from September 4 to 13.
On his visit to Georgia, Wang met with David Sergeenko, Minister of Labour, Social Affairs and Health. They exchanged ideas on health systems and cooperation on maternal and child health, and signed a memorandum of understanding providing for cooperation in the medical science sector.
Health systems, maternal and child health were also discussed at Wang's meeting with the acting health minister of Ukraine. In addition, they conversed about population aging and in-depth cooperation in traditional Chinese medicine.
In Macedonia, Wang shared views on health and population policies with Jovica Andovski, vice-minister of the Macedonian health ministry.
In each country Wang and his delegation visited institutions for disease control and maternal and child health, nursing homes and medical centers.
