Cui Li inspects healthcare reform in Hunan province
Cui Li, vice-minister of the National Health and Family Planning Commission (NHFPC) inspected healthcare reform in South China's Hunan province on Sept 6.
She inspected Zhangjiajie's health centers and reviewed the tiered system of medical care service. She also studied medical staffing and informatization of community-level medical institutions. Cui held meeting with officials from the Hunan health and family planning commission on how to further advance healthcare reform in Hunan.
Cui praised the province's achievements in that area, emphasizing that Hunan should further review drug prices and medical salaries. As a pilot province for healthcare reform, Hunan should also build demonstration counties, increase local government’s investment, strengthen medical staff training and create a media environment benefiting healthcare reform.
Relevant officials from NHFPC departments also took part in the inspection.
