3rd US-China Hospital Leadership Symposium held in Beijing
A China-US symposium on hospital management was held on Oct 19 in Beijing as part of efforts to implement earlier consultations and dialogues between the two countries.
The 3rd US-China Hospital Leadership Symposium is part of the China-US 100 Hospital Presidents Visiting Program.

Cui Li, deputy minister of the National Health and Family Planning Commission (NHFPC), addressed the opening ceremony.
"Cooperation between China and the US in the health sector has a long history. Over the past few years, the cooperation has deepened and become more abundant," Cui said.
For future cooperation, she called for "a gathering of a strategic consensus, deepening cooperative platforms, improving the network of personnel exchanges, and participating in the global health campaign."
She said that China is working on building a healthier country, and has put the people at the core of the cause.
Mary Wakefield, acting deputy minister of the Health Resources and Services Administration of the US, spoke highly of China's achievements in the public health sector, and brief outlined the United States' health reforms.
She said that the US and China should conduct extensive consultation and cooperation programs to benefit the people of both countries and the rest of the world.
