China held a video conference on December 6 in Beijing, promoting the new family planning policy with two children at its core.

Representatives from various fields attended the video conference on December 6 in Beijing.

Representatives from the National Health and Family Planning Commission (NHFPC), Ministry of Education, Ministry of Civil Affairs, and Ministry of Culture, among others, attended the meeting.

Wang Hesheng, vice minister of the National Health and Family Planning Commission, addressed the meeting.

Wang Hesheng, vice minister of NHFPC, addressed the conference, stating that new progress has been achieved since China implemented its two children policy.

"It is an improvement to the original one child policy", said Wang, praising its "active role" in advancing China's new era of health and family planning initiatives. 

Wang called for better publicity of the policy to improve the "sense of gain" within the public.

He also encouraged the building of an extensive health syndicate, integrating public health alongside the new family planning policy.

"Innovative policies, especially the Internet Plus concept, should be publicly promoted", said Wang.
