Li Bin, minister of China's National Health and Family Planning Commission (NHFPC), met with her Cambodian counterpart Mam Bunheng on Dec 6 during the visit.

Li's official visit was part of the implementation of earlier agreements reached in October when President Xi Jinping visited Cambodia.

Mam Bunheng reviewed the cooperation between the two countries in the health sector over the past decades, speaking highly of the consensus reached between the two sides, in terms of the prevention and control of the infectious disease and malaria, human resource development, and health care.

During Li's visit, both sides signed the cooperation agreements in the health sector and for women and children.

Li witnessed the launch ceremony of an aid program, in which doctors from the College of Stomatology at Guangxi Medical University help check Cambodian children's teeth for free.

China also donated medical apparatus and instruments to Cambodia.
