China to deepen health cooperation with UK
A fourth high level cultural exchange meeting between China and the UK was held in Shanghai on December 6. Cui Li, vice-minister of the National Health and Family Planning Commission (NHFPC) attended the meeting and briefed it on the achievements of Sino-British health cooperation.
Cui said that health cooperation has become a core content of Sino-British high level cultural exchange. China will deepen cooperation with the UK in health policies, developing a tiered system of medical care service, healthy aging and global health.
After the meeting, Cui Li and Jeremy Hunt, British health secretary, signed a Memorandum of Understanding for health cooperation between the two countries.
