A conference on national medical management work was held in Beijing on January 16.

Wang Hesheng, vice-minister of the National Health and Family Planning Commission attended the conference and delivered a speech.

Wang appraised national medical staff's contribution to the improvement of the medical service system and the implementation of the Healthy China strategy.

He urged that this year, medical departments at all levels should further push forward the construction of a tiered system of medical care service, improve medical service and optimize medical resource distribution, provide better healthcare to poor areas and ensure medical quality and safety.

Relevant officials from health departments at all levels also took part in the conference.
