Wang Guoqiang inspects disease prevention work in Jiangsu province

Wang Guoqiang, vice-minister of the National Health and Family Planning Commission, inspects health work in Zhenjiang’s community healthcare center.
Wang Guoqiang, vice-minister of the National Health and Family Planning Commission (NHFPC) inspected the disease prevention work and the promotion of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu province.
He visited Zhenjiang's public hospitals and community healthcare centers and talked with medical staff to gain insight into local health work.
Wang acknowledged the quality improvements in health work in Zhenjiang as well as in the the province. He noted that prevention should be prioritized, shifting the focus from disease treatment to health management.
Wang urged local health departments to adhere to Chinese medical laws and improve TCM service, supporting its role in preventing and treating disease.
