China, Russia agree to deepen health co-op
China and Russia agreed to expand and deepen exchanges in the health sector at a meeting held in Guangzhou, South China's Guangdong province on Sept 11.

Cui Li, vice-minister of the National Health and Family Planning Commission, co-hosted the meeting with Igor Kagramanyan, deputy minister of Health of the Russian Federation.
They reviewed achievements and progress in the health sector over the past year, including control and prevention of infectious disease, health and epidemic preventive cooperation at the border area, health emergency responses to disasters, medical university alliances, and cooperation in traditional Chinese medicine.
The two sides agreed to expand and deepen exchanges in the above mentioned sectors on the basis of mutual trust and benefit.
China and Russia plan to hold the next round of health cooperation meetings in Russia in 2018.
