Wang Hesheng inspects health promotion in Zhejiang and Hubei provinces
Wang Hesheng, vice-minister of the National Health and Family Planning Commission (NHFPC) inspected health promotion work in Zhejiang and Hubei provinces from Nov 22 to 23.
Wang reviewed the provinces' health information collection, health promotion and family doctor work by inspecting local hospitals and community health service centers. At Hubei's Yichang Center for Disease Prevention and Control, Wang learnt about linkages between the big data health platform, health promotion and health management.
He spoke highly of the improvements of health promotion of Zhejiang and Hubei provinces. He stressed that health departments at all levels should carry out the Healthy China strategy to provide all-round health service for people. "The health departments should learn from successful experience and embody the idea of health into all policies," Wang said, adding that local governments should build more venues for health promotion and explore setting up an assessment system with Chinese characteristics to improve health promotion and public health literacy.
Relevant officials from health and family planning commissions of Hubei and Zhejiang provinces attended the inspection.
