Li Bin meets with South Korea's minister of health and welfare
Li Bin, minister of the National Health and Family Planning Commission (NHFPC), met with Park Neunghoo, minister of health and welfare of South Korea in Beijing on Dec 13, 2017.
Li noted that in recent years China and South Korea have had close cooperation in the health sector. China has been paying great attention to the medical cooperation with South Korea. “The signing of MOU between China and South Korea complied with the basic situations of both countries and had strategic implications,” Li said.
She added that the Chinese government attaches great importance to the prevention and control of cancers and contagious diseases as well as research and development of drugs for Alzheimer's disease. “China is willing to cooperate with South Korea in these fields to contribute to the health of people from both countries.”
Park expressed his gratitude for China’s support of South Korea’s health sector. He said that the bilateral talks on health cooperation between China and South Korea are of great meaning. He hopes both sides can further cooperate in the fields mentioned by Li.
Officials from relevant departments of the NHFPC also attended the meeting.
