China stresses implementation of national nutrition plan

China held a workshop on Dec 22 to further popularize and implement the national nutrition plan.
Jin Xiaotao, deputy minister of the National Health and Family Planning Commission, said the plan is concerned with the health and well-being of the Chinese people.
He urged all sides to work together and contribute to the Healthy China strategy.
Jin called for more scientific, precisive and smart efforts to press ahead with the national nutrition plan.
The National Nutrition Plan (2017-30) was released by the General Office of the State Council, or China’s Cabinet, in July, setting a target to make substantial improvements in promoting wider knowledge of nutrition and science, and raising residents’ nutritional awareness.
