New industrial park to bolster medical industry in Sichuan
Chengdu's Wenjiang district in Southwest China’s Sichuan province held a commencement ceremony for the Chengdu Wenjiang Science and Technology Enterprise Port on Dec 28, 2017.
The port was funded by Liandong U Valley, China's industrial park operator, with a total investment of 1.6 billion yuan ($245.7 million).
Covering 160,000 square meters, the port plans to gather 80 to 100 enterprises that specialize in biomedicine, medical appliances and electronic medical equipment.
As planned, the industrial park will further boost the medical and health industry in Wenjiang district.
The government of Wenjiang district pledged to provide quality services and helpful policies to support the development of enterprises in the industrial park, according to Chen Zhiyong, head of the district government.
