Large women’s and children’s hospital to open in 2019 in Tibet

A large women’s and children’s hospital in Tibet autonomous region is expected to be put into operation in 2019, according to the Tibet health and family planning commission.
The new hospital's main structure has been recently completed. Built at a cost of 599 million yuan ($92 million), the hospital complex covers an area of 89,000 square meters.

The first of its kind in Tibet, this hospital is designed to have 650 beds for inpatient use and expects to serve 2,000 outpatients every day.
