Vice-head of NHC meets with Norwegian delegation

Wang Hesheng, deputy minister of the National Health Commission (NHC), met with a Norwegian delegation led by Bent Høie, minister of health and care services on April 10 in Beijing.
Wang briefly introduced the achievements of China's health sector in addition to medical and health care reform, especially the measures in dealing with antibiotic drug resistance, chronic disease prevention and the aging society.
China and Norway enjoy a close and friendly cooperative relationship in health sector, Wang said.
He also put forward proposals - between governments, medical care institutions, and health scholars - for health cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative.
Høie highly praised the health cooperation between the two sides and spoke highly of China’s medical and health development and the role in global health governance.
He also exchanged views and ideas with Wang in regards to further enhancing exchanges and health cooperation for the benefit of the two peoples.
