Wang Hesheng visits Cuba

Wang Hesheng, vice-minister of the National Health Commission, delivers a speech at the conference.
From April 22 to 27, at the invitation of the Ministry of Public Health of Cuba, Wang Hesheng, vice-minister of the National Health Commission (NHC), visited Cuba and attended the "2018 Cuba-Health" international conference on public health.
Wang delivered a keynote speech at the conference and introduced China’s achievements in medical and health sector.
He also introduced the Healthy China strategy and the health cooperation of Belt and Road Initiative.
During the conference, Wang met with WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.
Both sides reached a consensus on building strategic partnership and strengthening communication and coordination.
During his visit to Cuba, Wang also met with Roberto Morales Ojeda, minister of health of Cuba. The two countries will further cooperate in health policy, public health and medical service and diseases prevention and control.
