NHC minister meets with Israeli deputy minister of health

Ma Xiaowei, minister of the National Health Commission of China (NHC), met with Yakov Litzman, Israeli deputy minister of health, on Oct 24 at Jerusalem, capital of Israel, to exchange views on deepening health cooperation.
Ma praised the two sides’ practical health cooperation and achievements within the framework of the China-Israel Joint Committee on Innovation Cooperation in recent years.
He said he hopes China and Israel continue to cooperate on health development, especially on health big data, health emergency, innovation on medical scientific research, health system reform and hospital management.
Litzman spoke highly of the fruitful cooperation between China and Israel in health matters, added that he hopes the two sides will make joint efforts to lead the cooperation to a higher level.
After the meeting, Ma and Litzman signed the meeting’s summary and witnessed the signing of cooperative agreements between the Israeli Ministry of Health and Chinese Hospital Association, as well as the Northern Jiangsu People’s Hospital.
During Ma’s Israel visit, he attended the fourth meeting of the China-Israel Joint Committee on Innovation Cooperation and made a report on health. Ma visited large comprehensive hospitals in Israel to learn about the country’s medical innovation.
