NHC vice-minister meets with country programme director-general of UK DFID

Cui Li, vice-minister of China's National Health Commission, met with Lindy Cameron, director-general for Country Programme of UK's Department for International Development (DFID), on Nov 20 in Beijing.
Cui said China and UK have seen more and more regular and high-level health cooperation in recent years. She briefly reviewed the effective health cooperation between the two sides which involves many fields including health reform, infectious disease prevention and control, medical research, and global health development.
Cui expressed great gratitude to DFID for its long-term support of China's health development and added that China is willing to strengthen the two sides' health cooperation and make contributions to global safety and health.
Cameron spoke highly of China's active role in world's health development. She said UK is willing to continue the sound relations with China on health and development and share experiences to benefit African countries and other developing countries.
