China urges universal health information system
China calls for a universal health information system which should be authoritative, interconnected and unified, said Yu Xuejun, vice-minister of the National Health Commission (NHC), when he addressed the digital health sub-forum of 2nd Digital China Summit on May 7.
At the sub-forum which was held in Fuzhou, capital of East China's Fujian province, 10 regions at provincial level signed an agreement to become "Internet + medical and health" demonstration regions.
The system should help health information flow freely to boost the industry's development, said Yu.
China will keep increasing people's sense of gain through further promotion of medical reform, strengthen health services and supervision and deeply implement "Internet + medical and health," added Yu.
