NHC vice-minister attends Intelligent Health and Medicine Summit
China's top health authority will strengthen guidance and carry top-level design to plan and define the development direction and main areas for artificial intelligence application in medicine.
Yu Xuejun, vice-minister of the National Health Commission, made the comment at the Intelligent Health and Medicine Summit which was held on May 17 in Tianjin as part of the 3rd World Intelligence Congress.
Currently, global intelligent medicine is stepping into a critical period of development and updating, said Yu, adding that China will strengthen the use of artificial intelligence in the health sector and boost intelligent health.
A medical and health service mode based on modern ideas, methods and technologies is being explored by the country to better satisfy the public, said Yu.
