China promoting nutrition, health
China held an event on May 20 to promote nutrition in Beijing. The event, as part of National Nutrition Week 2019, also focuses on student dietary health.
Li Bin, deputy head of China's National Health Commission, said the promotion campaign serves as the implementation of the National Nutrition Plan (2017-2030).
Nutrition and health concepts should be introduced into the community, workplace and family, Li said.
Theme-based information, such as a balanced diet and nutrition plus exercise was given out at the event.
Activities, including the launching of innovation funds and lectures on nutrition and health, were also held.
Nearly 1,000 people from the national committee on nutrition and health, academic institutions and associations attended the activity.
