China's program of leukemia centralized treatment and management has covered all children in the country, and already benefited 35,000 kids, according to the National Health Commission.

Leukemia, also known as "blood cancer", is a kind of malignant tumor with high morbidity and high mortality especially to the children.

China has built a services network of the disease's diagnosis and treatment for children, including 176 designated hospitals at provincial-level and 374 ones at municipal level, according to the NHC.

As of July 3, the country's leukemia diagnosis and treatment registration system for children has included 34,995 new cases of incipient childhood leukemia which were diagnosed in 425 designated hospitals nationwide. The system will monitor and manage the disease treatment in whole process, according to an official of the NHC.

China has included children with leukemia from poverty-stricken families in the centralized treatment and management system since 2016, and has been optimizing the allocation of pediatric medical resources.
