Li delivered speeches on universal health coverage, dealing with population aging, health security and antimicrobial drugs, and introduced China's experience in these fields.

He joined a table-top exercise on "health emergency responses to mass gathering" at the meeting and shared China’s practices in multi-department prevention and control mechanisms and health emergency response, as well as infectious disease information monitoring and risk communication.

The vice-minister also called on all parties to work together to strengthen coordination and cooperation with international bodies like the World Health Organization.

The meeting adopted the Okayama Declaration of the G20 Health Ministers.

This Okayama meeting gathered over 100 participants, including delegates from G20 member countries, health ministers or senior officials from Egypt and Singapore, and representatives from the WHO and World Bank.

After the meeting, Li met with an official of Japan's Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare. They agreed to enhance collaboration in disease control, elderly care and health emergency response.

The delegation also exchanged information with the Japan-China Medical Association and visited Japan's National Disaster Medical Center.
