China's top legislature to prioritize legislation on public health in 2020
BEIJING - China's top legislature said on May 25 it will prioritize legislation on public health this year in an annual work report.
The report of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) was delivered by the committee's chairman Li Zhanshu to the third session of the 13th NPC for deliberation.
The NPC Standing Committee plans to revise the Wildlife Protection Law, the Law on the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases, the Frontier Health and Quarantine Law, and the Emergency Response Law, according to the report.
