NHC delegates attend videoconference for China-Afghanistan cooperation in virus fight
Delegates from China's National Health Commission (NHC) participated in the first videoconference of the China-Afghanistan joint prevention and control mechanism in response to the COVID-19 epidemic on July 29.
At the meeting, delegates of the NHC introduced China's experience in combating the virus and the progress of China-Afghanistan cooperation in epidemic control and put forward suggestions for future collaboration.
The China-Afghanistan joint prevention and control mechanism in response to the COVID-19 epidemic was initiated by the ministries of foreign affairs of the two countries and involves China's departments of health and civil aviation and the China International Development Cooperation Agency.
It aims to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, strengthen bilateral communication and coordination, push forward the joint virus fight, improve the health and well-being of peoples of the two countries and maintain and promote bilateral exchanges and cooperation.
