China, Iraq to enhance collaboration in virus fight
Zeng Yixin, vice-minister of China's National Health Commission (NHC), met with his counterpart from Iraq at a videoconference on Sept 24. The two sides exchanged views on deepening China-Iraq anti-pandemic cooperation. Representatives from the NHC and the Ministry of Health of Iraq as well as the Chinese ambassador to Iraq participated in the conference.
At the conference, Zeng reviewed the collaboration between China and Iraq in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, and discussed COVID-19 prevention and control and treatment as well as research and development in drugs and vaccines with the Iraqi representatives.
The two sides agreed to continue to strengthen technological exchanges and experience sharing in response to the pandemic, maintain regional and global health security and support the construction of a global health community for all.
