China, UAE hold videoconference on COVID-19 prevention and control
Co-sponsored by China's National Health Commission (NHC) and the Health Ministry of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), a conference on prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic was held via video link on Sept 21. Representatives of the health ministries of the two countries and the UAE ambassador to China participated in and spoke at the conference. Attendees included experts and representatives from the NHC, the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the UAE Health Ministry and the UAE Embassy in China.
At the conference, the participants from the two countries shared their experience in the virus fight, and exchanged information about COVID-19 testing, measures to prevent imported cases and resumption of work and production under regular epidemic prevention and control conditions. The two sides concurred about the need to further strengthen technological exchanges and experience sharing in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, make joint efforts to maintain global and regional health security and support the construction of a global health community for all.
