Section of Tianjin, now medium-risk COVID-19 region
Hangu Street, Block A and B of the cold-chain logistics area in the central fishing port in Binhai New Area, Tianjin will be classified as a medium-risk region of COVID-19 epidemic control beginning Tuesday, officials said on a news conference on Nov 9.
"From Tuesday, intensive monitoring of key people will be carried out in medical institutions, units and communities with a risk of transmission," said Gu Qing, deputy director of the city's health committee. "And the corresponding control measures will be promoted, which will last until 14 days after the last case or asymptomatic infection is reported."
Officials also urged residents in the medium-risk regions not to leave those regions.
Those who have to leave for special reasons must provide negative nucleic acid test results within seven days before leaving and will be asked to avoid public transportation.
