NHC vice-minister calls for further China-Egypt health collaboration
Zeng Yixin, vice-minister of China's National Health Commission (NHC), had a video call with his Egyptian counterpart on Nov 18.
They exchanged views on China-Egypt health cooperation and the joint fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
Zeng spoke positively of the health collaboration between the two countries. He hailed the solidarity between the governments and the peoples of the two countries in the face of the pandemic.
Zeng said that China is willing to further enhance cooperation with Egypt in areas such as pairing-up hospitals, research and development of COVID-19 vaccines and traditional medicine.
The two sides agreed to continue to strengthen health exchanges and cooperation, make joint efforts to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, work together to maintain global health security and promote the construction of a global health community for all.
