China's Yunnan donates anti-pandemic supplies to Laos, Myanmar
KUNMING — A ceremony was held on Nov 26 in Kunming, capital of Southwest China's Yunnan province, to mark the donations of anti-pandemic medical supplies to Laos and Myanmar.
The Yunnan Provincial People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries donated 460,000 yuan (about $69,900) and 410,000 yuan worth of anti-pandemic supplies to Laos and Myanmar, respectively.
The supplies include patrol vehicles for medical services and nucleic acid extraction reagents.
Yunnan has previously dispatched a team of medical experts to Laos to help establish a nucleic acid testing lab, and donated 8 million yuan worth of anti-pandemic materials to Myanmar.
