Shenyang to do 3rd round of COVID-19 testing in 3 districts
Shenyang, capital of Liaoning province, announced it will conduct a third round of nucleic acid testing in three districts starting on Jan 11 to enhance prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic and ensure public health.
The city's health commission said thorough screening and registration, information input, sampling and testing of all citizens will be conducted in Huanggu, Tiexi and Yuhong districts, where dozens of cases of infections were reported. All testing costs will be covered by the government.
Shenyang reported two new locally transmitted confirmed cases on Sunday. At present, there are 14 medium-risk areas in the city.
