China, Belarus to further health collaboration

Zeng Yixin, vice-minister of China's National Health Commission (NHC), met with Yuri Senko, Belarusian ambassador to China, on Feb 26. They reviewed progress in health exchanges and cooperation between the two countries, and exchanged views on future collaboration.
Zeng said that China and Belarus have a deep traditional friendship. Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, China and Belarus have worked together to overcome the difficulties. The two countries supported each other by providing anti-pandemic materials and held a series of videoconferences to strengthen technological exchanges between experts, which fully demonstrated that true friendship stands out in time of adversity.
He said that China will earnestly implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries and comprehensively deepen China-Belarus health exchanges and cooperation to jointly safeguard the health of people of the two countries and the world.
Senko hailed China's successful anti-pandemic experience, and said that Belarus will further enhance technological exchanges between medical personnel of the two countries as well as anti-pandemic collaboration with relevant Chinese departments. He said that efforts will also be made to deepen the China-Belarus comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.
