On June 2, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 24 new cases of confirmed infections (9 imported cases, 3 in Shanghai municipality, 2 in Guangdong province, 2 in Sichuan province, 1 in Beijing municipality and 1 in Fujian province; 15 indigenous cases in Guangdong), no new cases of suspected infections, and no deaths. 6 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 507 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. The number of serious cases increased by 1.

As of 24:00 on June 2, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 6,086 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 5,793 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 293 confirmed cases (including 2 cases in serious condition) and 2 suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on June 2, the National Health Commission had received reports of 91,170 confirmed cases and 4,636 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 86,170 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 364 confirmed cases (including 7 cases in serious condition) and 2 suspected cases. 1,027,007 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 8,539 were still under medical observation.

On June 2, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 18 new asymptomatic cases (13 imported cases; 5 indigenous cases in Guangdong). 21 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (including 19 imported cases) and 4 (indigenous cases) became confirmed cases. As of 24:00 on June 2, 373 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 335 imported cases). 

As of 24:00 on June 2, 21,288 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 11,848 in Hong Kong (210 had died and 11,576 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 51 in Macao (49 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 9,389 in Taiwan (149 had died and 1,133 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
