BEIJING -- Chinese Vice Premier Sun Chunlan has stressed efforts to carry out COVID-19 prevention and control in a scientific and accurate manner during the upcoming holidays of New Year's Day and Spring Festival.
Related measures should be implemented faithfully to tackle inbound COVID-19 cases and a domestic resurgence, Sun, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, said at a teleconference on Tuesday.
Sun said that preventing imported cases is the current priority in China's anti-COVID-19 work. She urged upgraded prevention and control work at ports as well as guarding against infection clusters due to imported cases.
