China's Qiqihar city reports no new locally transmitted COVID-19 cases
HARBIN -- Qiqihar city in northeast China's Heilongjiang province on Saturday reported no new locally transmitted COVID-19 cases, according to local authorities on Dec 26.
No new asymptomatic carriers were reported in the city on Saturday, allowing it to be cleared of all asymptomatic cases, according to the provincial COVID-19 prevention and control headquarters.
In Nehe city, administered by Qiqihar, four asymptomatic carriers have been quarantined for 14 days and returned two negative nucleic acid test results 24 hours apart.
From 6 am Sunday, Qiqihar city became a low-risk area as a whole.
