On June 20, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 37 new cases of confirmed infections (28 imported cases, 9 in Shanghai municipality, 6 in Fujian province, 6 in Guangdong province, 3 in Shaanxi province, 2 in Zhejiang province, 1 in Beijing municipality and 1 in Tianjin municipality, including 3 confirmed cases converting from asymptomatic cases, 2 in Zhejiang province and 1 in Guangdong province; 9 indigenous cases, 6 in Shanghai municipality and 3 in Beijing municipality), no deaths, and no new cases of suspected infections. 

On June 20, 68 patients were released from hospital after being cured (17 imported cases; 51 indigenous cases, 27 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 10 in Shanghai municipality, 9 in Beijing municipality and 5 in Liaoning province). 4,373 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. The number of serious cases decreased by 1.

As of 24:00 on June 20, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland had reported 19,113 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 18,859 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 254 confirmed cases (no serious cases) and no suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on June 20, the National Health Commission had received reports of 225,318 confirmed cases and 5,226 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland, and in all 219,283 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 809 confirmed cases (including 7 cases in serious condition) and no suspected cases. 4,219,185 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 105,457 were still under medical observation.

On June 20, 31 provincial-level regions and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps on the Chinese mainland reported 105 new asymptomatic cases (80 imported cases; 25 indigenous cases, 10 in Jilin province, 6 in Liaoning province, 3 in Shanghai municipality, 2 in Beijing municipality, 2 in Guangdong province and 2 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region). 

On June 20, 136 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (76 imported cases; 60 indigenous cases, 31 in Shanghai municipality, 8 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, 7 in Beijing municipality, 4 in Jilin province, 3 in Sichuan province, 3 in Yunnan province, 2 in Zhejiang province, 1 in Jiangsu province and 1 in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region). 3 asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases (all were imported cases). As of 24:00 on June 20, 1,449 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 532 imported cases). 

As of 24:00 on June 20, 3,665,784 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 334,996 in Hong Kong (9,396 had died and 63,253 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 93 in Macao (83 had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 3,330,695 in Taiwan (5,365 had died and 13,742 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
