NHC minister meets with Singapean health minister

Ma Xiaowei, minister of China's National Health Commission (NHC), met with Singaporean Health Minister Ong Ye Kung in Beijing on Nov 20 to exchange views on deepening health cooperation.
Ma spoke positively of the long-term practical health cooperation between China and Singapore, noting that under the guidance of the China-proposed concept of building a global community of health for all, the two nations’ health collaboration has contributed greatly to safeguarding the health and well-being of the two peoples and deepening their friendship.
He also introduced China's experience and practices in the promotion of healthy aging and accessibility to medical services, and expressed the hope to further enhance bilateral cooperation in healthy aging, talent exchanges, infectious disease prevention and control, and traditional Chinese medicine.
Ong praised China's significant achievements in the reform of its medical system, thanked China for sharing information and its experience in combating COVID-19, and expressed willingness to deepen health collaboration so as to jointly improve the health and well-being of the two peoples.
Officials of related departments of the NHC and the National Administration of Disease Prevention and Control participated in the meeting.
