The WHO has designated the theme of World Health Day 2024 as "My Health, My Rights", and the NHC has designated the China's theme as "Health for All, Promoting Health Together". On April 7th, the NHC and the WHO China Office held World Health Day event in Zhenghe Park, Nanjing. Li Bin, Vice Minister of NHC, attended the event and delivered a speech.

Li Bin pointed out that the people are not only beneficiaries of the development of healthcare system, but also participants and practitioners. The promotion of the right to health requires joint efforts from the country, the society, the healthcare sector, and individuals. Through unremitting efforts from all parties, the health literacy level of Chinese residents has steadily improved, and the awareness and ability of the people to be the first responsible person for their own health have been continuously enhanced. The foundation of "Healthy China" has become more solid. China is willing to work together with the WHO and other countries to strive for a healthier future for humanity.

At the event, representatives from Jiangsu Province Hospital, Shiye Town Health Center,Nanjing Lishui District hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine , Nanjing Healthy Family, and Wulaocun Sub district office told stories of their innovative development and participation in health promotion. Zhao Yan, Deputy Governor of Jiangsu Provincial People's Government, and Qiao Jianrong, Officer in Charge of WHO China Office, attended and delivered speeches. Officials from relevant departments of the NHC, Jiangsu Commission of Health,Nanjing Municipal People's Government, Nanjing Municipal Health Commission, and Qinhuai District People's Government also attended the event.
