NHC vice-minister meets with UNFPA representative to China

On April 25, Yu Xuejun, vice-minister of China's National Health Commission (NHC), met with Justine Coulson, representative of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) to China, in Beijing.
Yu spoke highly of the long-term friendly cooperation between the two sides and appreciated the beneficial support provided by the UNFPA in China's population development.
He said that China is ready to further deepen collaboration with the UNFPA, promote the Population and Development South-South Cooperation Center of Excellence to play a greater role, share its experience in population development with the international community, and advance the building of a global community of health for all.
Coulson praised the progress China has made in population development.
Both sides agreed to further deepen policy and technical cooperation in population and development.
