NHC senior official meets with Indonesian health minister
On June 13, Lei Haichao, secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group of the National Health Commission, met with Indonesian Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin in Beijing. They exchanged in-depth views on health exchanges and cooperation between China and Indonesia.
Lei noted that China and Indonesia have signed a number of cooperation documents in recent years, established a joint committee on health cooperation, and carried out wide-ranging, multi-level and high-standard practical collaborations with positive outcomes.
China is willing to continue to work together with Indonesia to continuously deepen cooperation in the fields of health-focused human resources development, medical management, traditional medicine and public health based on the solid foundation of cooperation, and to enrich cooperation results, in a bid to make new contributions to safeguarding the health and well-being of the two peoples and building a global community of health for all, he added.
Budi appreciated the achievements made in bilateral health cooperation and thanked China for its long-term support for Indonesia's health undertakings.
He said that China's development experience in health undertakings is an important reference for Indonesia's health system reform and expressed sincere hope to further strengthen cooperation and exchanges with China to jointly benefit the two peoples.
