NHC vice-minister attends World Medicine Conference, visits Türkiye
Cao Xuetao, vice-minister of China's National Health Commission, led a delegation to attend the World Medicine Conference in Türkiye and visit the country from Nov 14 to 18.
In his opening speech at the conference, Cao presented China's efforts and achievements in the development of an emergency medical response system, and expressed the willingness to strengthen cooperation with the international community in the cultivation of emergency medical response teams, personnel training and scientific research, so as to make greater contributions to building a global community of health for all.
During his visit, Cao met with Turkish Health Minister Kemal Memişoğlu, where he introduced the guiding principles of the third plenary session of the 20th Communist Party of China Central Committee and shared opinions on promoting bilateral cooperation in medical policies, medical technologies and traditional medicine.
The two sides spoke highly of the friendly nature of China-Türkiye relations and agreed to use the agreement on bilateral health cooperation as an opportunity to further enhance practical cooperation.
The delegation also visited a hospital in Istanbul.
