NHC vice-minister meets with director general of Danish health authority
Cao Xuetao, vice-minister of China's National Health Commission (NHC), met with a delegation led by Jonas Egebart, director general of the Danish Health Authority, on April 10 in Beijing.
The two sides discussed bilateral health cooperation and signed a document on China-Denmark health cooperation projects in strategic areas for 2025-2028.
Cao spoke highly of the health collaboration between the two countries in various fields and presented China's achievements and latest progress in areas such as mental health, primary healthcare and the prevention and control of chronic non-communicable diseases.
He said that on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, China is willing to take the signing of this document as an opportunity to deepen cooperation in areas of mutual concern, enhance the health and well-being of the people of both countries and make greater contributions to building a global community of health for all.
Jonas Egebart expressed appreciation for the health cooperation already underway between the two countries. He said that both countries face similar health challenges, adding that Denmark is ready to strengthen mutual learning and mutually beneficial collaboration with China to jointly implement the cooperation projects.
